Case Western Reserve University, formerly known as Western Reserve College, was founded in 1826. It is the first college to be established in northern Ohio. The university is located in Hudson, Ohio, about 30 miles southeast of Cleveland. The independent research university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and by several nationally recognized professional accrediting associations.CWRU is a top-ranked research institution in the World. CWRU is ranked 42nd among national universities and 1st in Ohio in U.S. News & World Report 2021. It is also listed among the top universities in the world in the Times Higher Education, NTU World and AWRU-Shanghai rankings lists.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses 

Case Western Reserve University campus extends over an area of 267 acres in addition to a 400-acre farm in Hunting Valley, Ohio. The university is located in the heart of University Circle that comprises 550 park-like acres in a vibrant urban environment. Case Western Reserve University comprises eight schools and colleges offering a wide range of courses including 95 undergraduate, 135 graduate and professional, 140+ dual degree programs. Additionally, it has over 100 interdisciplinary academic research centres and institutes providing any program of study and discovery possible.
