Loyola University Chicago is a private Catholic research college in Chicago, Illinois. Established in 1870 by the Jesuits, Loyola is one of the biggest Catholic colleges in the United States. The University is authorized by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and was first licensed in 1921. The HLC is a free partnership that was established in 1895 as one of six local institutional accreditors in the United States. Loyola University Chicago is ranked 104th among National Universities according to the 2019 U.S. News & World Report 2020 college rankings. U.S. News commonly places Loyola among their "Best Value" and their "A-plus Schools for B Students" lists as well.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Loyola University Chicago comprises four campuses: Lake Shore (LSC), Water Tower (WTC), Health Sciences (HSC), and the John Felice Rome Center in Italy, and it is home to 14 schools, colleges, and institutes. Loyola University Chicago program offers Arts & Science, Business Communication, Environmental Sustainability, Retreat and Ecology campus and school of Education. Several of their degree programs enable the understudies to exploit entry level positions at a large number of Chicago's social establishments.
