The MS in Accountancy programme at CSU East Bay is a 17-month programme which has been designed to train the students in the accounting standards commonly followed internationally for financial reporting, auditing, taxation, business regulations & laws and much more. The MSA programme will train and qualify the students to begin their entry into an accounting profession. Admissions will be based on the past academic records, English Proficiency scores, GMAT or GRE scores, resume and the performance of the candidate in a personal interview.

Eligibility

  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required under the undergraduate coursework.

  • GMAT Results must be forwarded to the college.

    • Verbal and Quantitative percentages must be higher than 20%.

    • The Index Score must be more than 1,050 (Index score is calculated using the following formula - Index Score= Upper Division x 200 + Total GMAT)

    • Candidates with equivalent GRE scores can also apply for the programme.

  • Candidates who received an MBA degree from an AACSB business school, or passed all parts of the US CPA Exam, or earned an overall GPA of 3.0 in a bachelor degree from an accredited US University.

The MS in Economics - General Economics Concentration is designed with an emphasis on analytical skills leading to informed decisions.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must carry a valid bachelor’s degree and have completed 4-years worth of college.

  • For candidates coming from countries that offer three-year bachelor’s degrees, the candidate will be able to apply for a 4th-year-bridge programme, thus accessing further undergraduate studies at Cal State University East Bay.

  • There is no requirement for a specific degree or discipline to apply for the MS in Economics: General Economics Concentration at CSU East Bay.

  • Candidates with an exposure to analytical discipline and a basic to intermediate proficiency in Mathematics or Statistics would fit well with the programme. Those students who have studied Economics at an intermediate level along with calculus are also preferred.

  • Candidates should have secured a minimum GPA of 3.0. However, candidates who secured less and are able to explain in their statement, the reasons, are also accepted by the university.
