With a total of 61 higher educational institutions located across the country, Slovenia is starting to become an attractive destination for higher education for many international students. Like other European countries, the Slovanian higher education consists of a number of degrees and programmes of varying duration, such as Vocation Programmes (2 years), Bachelors (3 - 4 Years), Masters (1-2 Years) or a Doctorate programme (3 years).
Following the guidelines printed in the Bologna Agreement, many Universities in Slovenia offer programmes in the English language. The academic programmes on offer in the Universities of Slovenia are relatively inexpensive when compared to the popular universities in the world. Students aspiring to experience the European Academic environment and gain quality education can choose from the many programmes offered by the higher educational institutions in the country.
Students from the EU and Slovenia have access to free education, however, students from other Non-EU countries will have to pay a small amount to access higher education in Slovenia. However, the tuition fees at the Universities in Slovenia are considerably inexpensive and affordable for many. Studying in Slovenia would provide you access to beautiful and peaceful sceneries and quality education at inexpensive rates, thus, making your European experience just that bit better.
If you choose to study in Slovenia, financial burdens would be the least of your worries as day-to-day living, accommodation and travel expenses would be at the minimum. Students will be able to avail for private accommodation or University accommodation, which would be a far cheaper option. However, if you choose to pursue higher education in Slovenia as a private student, then student dormitories in the Universities may be out your reach.
