The Hague University of Applied Science (THUAS) was founded in 1987 by merging 14 small higher education institutions to form a single university. THAUS is a private university and has multiple campuses located at The Hague, Zoetermeer, Delft and Vogelwijk, in the Netherlands. The main campus building in The Hague was completed in 1996 and is located at Johanna Westerdijkplein. THUAS is a well-known university of applied sciences for research-based programmes in various fields of studies like technology, management, law, health, marketing etc.
 
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The main campus of The Hague University of Applied Science (THUAS) is located at Johanna Westerdijkplein, Netherlands. The campus houses a modern building which is centrally located near The Hague Hollands Spoor station. THUAS offers more than 69 full-time bachelor’s courses, 6 master’s courses and 21 post-higher vocational courses at the main campus. The other campuses and buildings of THUAS are the TU Delft campus, Zuiderpark Sports Campus,  Zoetermeer building and The Laan van Poot Campus. THUAS offers degree programmes in various areas of studies like technology, science management, business, marketing, law etc at the bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate level. Apart from this, THUAS has 300 exchange partners in more than 20 countries like the United States, Australia, Brazil, China and several other European countries.

Accomplishments & Alumni 

THUAS holds an international reputation for innovative and standard education programmes. The practical oriented research programme in several areas is recognised at the global level. It includes Cyber Security, Digital Operations & Finance,  Global Governance, Global and Inclusive Learning, Mission Zero, Health Innovation and Governance of Urban Transitions. THUAS has more than 80,000 alumni members around the world. The university serves its graduated students by conducting various training, workshops and life-changing seminars regularly. Through meetings and gathering students and graduated professionals get an opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences with current and former students of THUAS. There is also a separate group of alumni members on the LinkedIn profile of THUAS  which keeps the members updated about any job opportunities or vacancy that come up across different industries.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

The Hague University of Applied Science (THUAS) has more than 80,000 alumni members around the world. THUAS is a community of 26,000 students representing more than 150 nationalities across the globe. The Hague University of Applied Science has partnerships with more than 400 institutions all over the world to provide internships and training opportunities to students and help them gain international exposure. Every year, hundreds of THAUS students go to places like the US, South Africa, South America, the Middle East and other European countries as a result of placement or higher studies opportunities.

COVID- 19 Response 

The Hague University of Applied Sciences has implemented the appropriate COVID-19 Response in a bid to ensure the safety and health of its students, staff and faculty members. Ranging from hybrid models of learning to strict social distancing norms, the university is assuring a curb on the spread of the virus within the community.

  • The Hague University of Applied Science campus is open with limited availability of space on campus for the safety of the students, staff and faculty members.

  • Practical classes and research-based courses are being conducted on campus.

  • Laboratories and other practical class facilities are open for teaching and research work. Library and cafeteria are also available within the necessary COVID-19 precautions and guidelines.

  • Only those students, faculty and staff who have received the permission will be allowed to enter the campus premises.

  • Anyone visiting the campus is required to wear a mask at all times, maintain social distancing and personal hygiene by regularly washing hands and sanitising the surfaces being used at frequent intervals.

Holland Scholarship

Holland Scholarship is co-funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Dutch universities. It is available for international students coming from outside the EEA countries or Switzerland.

Value: €5,000

Eligibility Criteria for Holland Scholarship

The candidate must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the Holland Scholarship:

  • Must be enrolled in a full-time bachelors degree at the Hague University of Applied Sciences.

  • Must be currently staying in a country other than EEA nations and Switzerland.

  • Must have not studied in the Netherlands before.

  • Must have not applied for the Holland Scholarship before.

  • Must be paying the tuition fee at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. 

  • Must have an official letter issued by The Hague University of Applied Sciences. 

  • Must be enrolled at THUAS for the first time. 

How to Apply for the Holland Scholarship 2021?

After applying for the bachelor's degree programme at THUAS, candidates must fill the online application form for the Holland Scholarship, which is available on the website. The applicant must write an essay on Sustainable Development Goal and upload it within the application form. All instructions and guidelines must be followed while writing the essay.

World Citizen Talent Scholarship

Every year, The Hague University of Applied Science offers three scholarships to international students who are enrolled in a master's degree. The scholarship is awarded to students who are highly intellectual, talented, motivated and ambitious.

Eligibility Criteria for World Citizen Talent Scholarship

The candidate must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the World Citizen Talent Scholarship:

  • Must belong to a country other than the Netherlands.

  • Must be enrolled at The Hague University of Applied Science (THUAS) for the first time.

  • Must be applying for the World Citizen Talent Scholarship for the first time.

  • Must have the offer letter issued by THUAS.

How to Apply for the World Citizen Talent Scholarship 2021?

The candidate must first apply for a Master's course at THUAS. After applying for admissions, they must write an essay explaining the reasons to choose a particular course of study at the university and how they would contribute to society.
