Dublin Business School (DBS) started in 1975 as Accountancy and Business College, an evening college for some accounting professionals. After gaining a good reputation, it expanded in full-time college in accounting, marketing and banking. Over the years, it took over LSB College Dublin took over Kaplan Inc. and by 2006 European Business School Dublin. It is affiliated under NCEA Act in 1992, LJMU and associate college of Henley. DBS is ranked 21 in Ireland Top Universities by Webometrics Ranking 2020.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The Dublin Business School has six locations around Dublin with its main campus in Aungier Street. The Castle House campus is about 35,000 square feet comprising of IT labs, art classrooms with four floors. The college has many courses including in Business, Arts, IT, Law, and Psychology. Courses in Psychology & Social Science, Professional Accountancy, Media & Journalism, Marketing & Event Management, Law, Information Technology, Counselling & Psychotherapy, Business & Management, Arts, Accounting & Finance are the most sought after courses at DBS.
Achievements & Alumni
DBS has been recognized as the Best College of Business and overall excellence in education in 2018. It was nominated for Best College for Business, Library Team, Student Experience, Student Campus and the Career Impact Strategy award. There are many pass outs from this prestigious college some of them are Paul Connolly, an international singer and songwriter who composed the FIFA world cup Anthem in 2010. Ray Shah from Big Brother 4 is another alumnus from DBS.
Student Diversity & Visiting Companies
Dublin Business School's student body has approximately 30% of international students from over 70 different countries. With over 9,000 students, the college organizes a number of student events throughout the year. The career coaches at Career Hub help and provide information in the first semester itself about CV, LinkedIn, and Networking for workshops and seminars for job fairs conducted at the campus and give career advice and help for employment opportunities. Top hirers include IBM, Accenture, Amazon, Google, Deloitte and so on.
