A private institution, the University of Dallas was set up in the year 1956 within Irving, Texas. It has been awarded institutional accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to run bachelors, masters and doctorate level degree programmes. The university is also recognised and accredited by AACSB & NSA. This prestigious institution has been ranked as number 12 (Western regional universities) by U.S. News & World Report 2020 and at 225 (America's Best Colleges) by Forbes 2020.

The University of Dallas, Irving, or UD, is located on a beautiful 744-acre campus which houses the Constantin College of Liberal Arts, the Braniff Graduate School of Liberal Arts, the School of Ministry & the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business in addition to providing 4 distinct Lectureships. The University offers 50+ Degree programmes across all academic levels and the most sought after programmes include Biological and Biomedical Sciences, Business, Management, Social Sciences, Marketing, English Language, English Literature and Theology.

The University is also known to have one of the most inclusive and diverse student bodies, and boast a strong 230+ faculties/lecturers with 130+ being full-time and 100+ being part time with a strong and diverse portfolio. The student body is currently represented by students from 43+ countries many of whom choose to stay back and help the businesses and communities in the Dallas region. The University has various well-established organisations recruiting from them such as the US Government, Dallas ISD, NEC Corporation of America, Exxon Mobil, Fluor Corporation & Kimberly-Clark to name a few.
