NorQuest College was originally founded as Alberta Vocational College (AVC) in 1965 by the Government of Alberta to offer vocational education and meet the demands of industries for a skilled workforce. The college was restructured and rebranded several times before finally becoming a public institution in 1990. While receiving its final name as NorQuest College in 1999. A community college in Alberta, Canada, NorQuest College has a rich diversity of students, faculty and staff from across 114 countries. More than 78 first languages are spoken on-campus. NorQuest College’s unique delivery of higher education has shaped several successful graduates who hold commendable positions in reputed organisations in Canada and across the world.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
NorQuest College has three campuses - Edmonton Campus, Correctional Campuses and Wetaskiwin Campus. Within the campus, students have access to different state-of-the-art facilities and recreational centres like restaurants, museums, theatres, dance clubs, shopping centres etc. Various events such as live concerts, stand-up comedy and sports events are conducted at regular intervals on campus to assure all-around development opportunities for students. NorQuest College does not provide on-campus residence facilities but it provides various options to students to find the best housing facilities from where they can easily commute to the college campus. The learning opportunities at NorQuest College are available for anyone belonging to any part of the world. A wide range of degree programmes are available in various disciplines and are taught by highly experienced professionals employed by the college. NorQuest College offers 38 post-secondary career and foundational programmes in business, health, community studies, environment & technology etc.

Additionally, in 2021, Colleges and Institutions Canada conferred the Gold and Silver Awards of Excellence to NorQuest College for Internationalisation and Programme Excellence, respectively.
