Wilfrid Laurier University was founded in 1911 as an Evangelical Lutheran Seminary in 1911 at Waterloo, Canada. Later it acquired university status and was named Waterloo Lutheran University. In 1973, it was renamed Wilfrid Laurier University. The Brantford campus of WLU was opened in 1999. Wilfrid Laurier University is a public university that has campuses in Brantford and Milton, Ontario, Canada. Its branch campuses are located in Kitchener- Toronto & Yellowknife and Chongqing, China.
