Bishop's University was founded in 1843 as Bishops College by an Act of the Canadian Parliament at the time. The college was initially established on 40 acres of land donated by Lt. Colonel William Morris. Located in Sherbrooke, Quebec, in the borough of Lennoxville, Bishops University is one of the premier institutions in Canada for undergraduate studies & has continuously been ranked as 1st in Students Satisfaction Level as per the Macleans University ranking. Bishop's University was founded with the idea of providing the best educational experience to students, especially at the undergraduate level, which is backed by the Macleans University Rankings, where the university ranked at the top for, not only student satisfaction but also, Experiential Learning, Extra-Curricular activities, and much more, and has garnered many more recognition over the years.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

With more than 175 years of establishment, Bishop's University has grown significantly, from offering globally-competitive education from 40 acres of land to offering globally-renowned education from a vast 550 acres of land.. The university campus houses 25 buildings including 7 residents, 2 libraries, 2 theaters, well-furnished classrooms, laboratories, and sports and athletic facilities, along with other facilities The residential facility Bishop's University has occupancy for around 2,900 students. Bishop's University is known to offer English-language undergraduate courses. The university offers more than 100 programs under 3 faculties and schools, viz. Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Williams School of Business and the School of Education. Through the three faculties, students, both international and domestic will be able to choose between undergraduate degrees such as BA, BBA, B.Ed and B.Sc, and postgraduate degrees such as MA, M.Ed and M.Sc. The major area of study includes fine arts, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, natural sciences, business, and education.
