Boston University (BU) is a research university situated in Boston, Massachusetts and founded in 1839. It was earlier known as the Newbury Biblical Institute. The national ranking of the university is 40 among the other universities. Boston University is nonsectarian but the United Methodist Church has affiliated it historically.
