The University of North Florida (UNF) was established in 1965, but was not officially founded till 1969 and had started offering classes as early as 1972. It is accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) & the AACSB(Coggin College of Business).

UNF has consistently been mentioned on The Princeton Reviews 'Best Southeastern Colleges' & 'Best Value College' lists respectively. It is also on No. 97 among Best Undergraduate Engineering Programmes, No.140 among Top Public Schools, No. 260 for Business Programmes & No. 281 for Top National Universities by The US News and World Report.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

UNF started with an initial campus size of 1000+ acres which today stands at a whopping 1300+ acres. The University offers 53 Bachelors, 28 Masters and 7 Doctoral Degree Programmes in their 28+ Academic and related buildings and 6+ accommodation facilities for their students and staff on campus not putting aside the fact that UNF has access to many more facilities and infrastructure not just in the Jacksonville area but throughout the Northwestern Florida Region and across the state.

Most of the students at UNF choose degree programmes in Health Professions, Business, Management, Marketing, Psychology, Journalism, Communication & Social Sciences with the most lucrative programs being Bachelors or Masters in Construction Management, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Engineering (Electrical, Civil & Mechanical), Nursing & Finance.

Accomplishments & Alumni

The University of North Florida is proud to be one of the first to have a LEED Certified Academic Building in the region and to have various varsity teams compete in both NCAA-I and NCAA-II. With Public transport available on campus, UNF is also known for being one of the few universities in the nation to have a strong network of services available to students such as Basic student services (health service, nonremedial tutoring, women's center, health insurance, etc.); Remedial learning, Counseling services (academic, personal, career, psychological, etc.) & very robust Safety Services.

The University of North Florida is known to be one of the Most Inclusive, Diverse and Safe Campuses in the entire nation. It has consistently done so since classes started in 1972 and have various cultural and non-cultural facilities and events on campus meant to engage not just the students but the whole community. With 250+ International students entering this year, the International Student population at UNF is very large with a huge 5% total student population being from Asian Countries. About 56% of students are female, with more than 40% of all students irrespective of gender choosing to stay on campus owing to the easy access to safety, emergency, health, and other facilities.
