The University of Bristol, England and Christ University, India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic cooperation in areas of common interest particularly in the fields of social sciences. The MoU was signed virtually by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) of the University of Bristol, Dr. Erik Lithander and Registrar of Christ University, Dr. Anil Joseph Pinto.
Both the universities have collaborated for the exchange of teaching staff and researchers, handle dual development of research projects, offer study abroad programmes at Bristol and conduct common scientific and cultural events.

A new pathway programme has been initiated for students who are enrolled in two years MA International Studies programme at Christ University to transfer to the M.Sc International Relations course offered at the University of Bristol. After the completion of the course, the student will receive a MA degree from Christ University and an M.Sc degree from the University of Bristol.
Dr. Lithander of the University of Bristol said that the MoU signed by Christ University and the University of Bristol symbolises the start of an important partnership that will eventually be beneficial to students of both universities.
Registrar at Christ University, Dr. Pinto was delighted to sign the MoU and said that the partnership with the University of Bristol will help students of Christ University to avail opportunities to acquire global exposure.
