Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) is a private art and design school, located in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded in 1877, the University offers bachelor's and master's degree programs across 19 majors. The campus of the University is located at the base of College Hill and contiguous with the Brown University campus. The university RISD is affiliated with AICAD.

According to Times Higher Education US Ranking 2020, the university stands at 139th position. The institution is ranked at 4th position in the world in Art and Design by the QS WUR by Subject Ranking 2020.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The RISD (RIZ- dee) campus has an extensive art museum and eye stunning nature lab with animals, plants, and specimens for students to study any references in their art. Rhode Island School of Design offers graduate courses like Master of Landscape Architecture, Master of Industrial Design, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Architecture, Master of Design in Interior Studies, Master of Arts in Interior Architecture, Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Arts in Art plus Design Education. 

Accomplishments & Alumni

RIZ-dee is one of the oldest and best-known colleges of art and design in the U.S. Key alumni of Rhode Island School of Design includes Brian Chesky, Joe Gebbia. Other notable alumni are, Kara Walker, Jenny Holzer, Nicole Miller and many more. There are more than 30,000 alumni of RISD living worldwide maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship between alumni and college.
