Update on 24 March, 2022:Annoucement for Indian students in Canada who were earlier affected and in confusion due to the closing decisions:The 3 colleges which were temporarily closed in Canada are now reopening with online classes.
M College (Montreal), CDE College (Sherbrooke) and CCSQ College (Longueuil), had pushed up deadlines for fees payment and had charged students huge sums of money at once.Thereafter,in February, the colleges issued notices of closing down, leavinga large number of students, both domestic and international, in jeopardy.

The institutes have been taken over by Cestar International Education Group, headquartered in Toronto, and are now resuming through online classes. The takeover has allowed somewhat relief to the Indian students who are already in Canada, as they can now attend online classes. However, how long shall the mode of education last for is still unclear, and therefore, some tension continues to simmer for these students.
Nearer home in Punjab, India, more than 300 students are awaiting any updates on the refunds filed by them as their Study Permit for Canada applications are likely to be rejected. As per the Groups statement the students whose Student Visa for Canada application get rejected shall be refunded with the sum paid by them.
The sum shall be refunded out of the amount recovered at the end of the insolvency process of the three institutions, respectively. The sums shall be refunded on a proportionate basis, as the recovered amount shall most probably not cover all the amount due, and yet all the dues are rightful on the recovered amount.

The students are expected to await the updates and announcements from the Group in regards with the process, and their student visa status.

The students studying in Canada are in a major fix due to the sudden closure of three colleges after they have paid hefty amounts for tuition fees and now they have reached out to the Indian High Commission in Ottawa for help. The commission has issued an advisory to the students assuring them that they are in touch with the federal government of Canada, Quebecs provincial government, and elected representatives from Indian communities to support the students.
M College in Montreal, CDE College in Sherbrooke, and CCSQ College in Longueuil are the three colleges that are under the radar. They have asked the students to pay their tuition fees by pushing the deadlines and then issued a circular declaring that the colleges are fully closing. Rising Phoenix International (RPI) Inc., the firm behind the three colleges, has filed for bankruptcy.

The students are now concerned about their education which has fully stopped owing to this sudden declaration of closure. They have already invested thousands of dollars in paying up for their tuition fees and now they are at the end of a dead alley. The amount nears to $6.4 million from 633 students.
The advisory issued by the Indian High Commission said that it will extendits assistance to Indian students by assuring them of the various ways in which they can recover their lost amount. The students may lodge a complaint with the Ministry of Higher Education of the Government of Quebec, in case they have trouble in reimbursement or transfer of their fees. The students can take assistance from the Education Wing of the High Commission in Ottawa or the Consulate General of India in Toronto.

The advisory has also raised an alarm against paying money to any institute that does not have valid credentials. They are advised against revealing personal data or paying money to any unverified person or institution.
