Education System of Nepal

The duration of the MBBS courses in Nepal is usually five and a half years. The first four and a half years of the programme are dedicated to the theoretical study of Clinical Sciences and Basic Sciences. 

The curriculum of the semesters that focus on theoretical knowledge can be divided into two parts. The first part of the programme covers basic medical subjects including:

  • Microbiology

  • Anatomy

  • Pathology

  • Biochemistry

  • Physiology

  • Community Medicine

  • Pharmacology

The second part of the programme is devoted to clinical subjects including:

  • Forensic Medicine
