Scholarships for International Students in Holland

Tuition fees at universities in Holland are relatively cheaper as compared to other European countries. International students can also look for available scholarships to further reduce their cost of study. The official websites of Holland's universities have sufficient resources available to help international students find sources of financial aid to support their education expenses.

The scholarships offered are usually generic and available for students from all countries. Given below are some of the top scholarships for international students in Holland.

Holland Scholarship

Value: €5,000

Deadline: 1 February / 1 May (confirm using the institution’s website)

International students from non-EEA (European Economic Area) countries who are enrolled for a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme are eligible to apply for the Holland Scholarship. It is awarded in the first year of study.

The scholarship is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and various Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.

Amsterdam Merit Scholarship

Value: €6,000 - €21,000

Deadline: 15 January

A merit-based scholarship that is available by international students (students from non-EEA countries) pursuing a full-time master’s degree programme at the University of Amsterdam. Selection for this scholarship is made on the basis of grade point average and letter of recommendation.
