Kazakh Russian Medical University (KRMU) is one of the top and largest private medical universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. KRMU was established as a medical academy in 1992 as the Kazakh Medical Institute (KMI), making it one of the first private universities in the Commonweath of Independent States (CIS). In 2010, KMI was renamed as the Kazakh-Russian Medical University. Over time, the University established its own brand, culture, and values while adhering to the government-designated path to international level universities and became one of the top MBBS universities in the world. The university is accredited by NMC (National Medical Commission) and WHO (World Health Organisation).
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Located in Almaty, which is the largest and busiest city in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Russian Medical University has a number of educational settings to deliver world-class medical education. KRMU's infrastructure includes a Research Institute of Eye Diseases, B.U. Dzharbusynov Scientific Center of Urology, Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Medicine, National Scientific Center of Surgery named after A.N. Syzganov, among others, with the primary focus to offer practical exposure along with theoretical skills to students. KRMU’s MBBS programme is taught in English and is thus open to all students. In addition, the university campus comprises a library, auditorium, computer labs, swimming pools, a cafeteria and many other things. Within the medical campus, students are also equipped with large and spacious hostel rooms with all cutting-edge facilities.
