The University of Essex offers its Indian student two different scholarship options at the undergraduate and graduate levels, which have been defined below:
Applicable to Indian students enrolling in one of the many undergraduate programmes, Essex University will offer undergraduate scholarships worth GBP 4,000 as tuition fee discount for the first year.
University of Essex - South Asia Regional Scholarship Eligibility
Students must be classed as self-funded overseas fee payers at the University of Essex and are limited to students from India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Students should firmly confirm Essex University as their choice of study by 15th July. It should be noted that students that first confirmed another college will not be considered eligible for this scholarship.
Selected students will be asked to partake in promotional activities.
Students who have deferred their entry will not be eligible for the scholarship.
Students who are either fully or partially sponsored will not be considered for the scholarship.
Students must ensure that they are enrolled in an in-person programme.
Note: The University of Essex will automatically consider eligible applicants and therefore, no separate applications need to be submitted. However, it should be noted that the university has set firm regulations pertaining to the scholarship.
The Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship at Essex University is offered to students who have earned their undergraduate degree either outside or within the UK and are now self-funding their graduate studies. The university will be offering graduate scholarships worth GBP 5,000 as a tuition fee discount for the first year of the programme.

Students must be self-funded overseas fee payers and must not be sponsored, either fully or partially.
The scholarship is awarded based on merit, therefore, candidates who present favourable academic records will be considered for the scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded to students in courses that lead to an MA, M.Sc, LLM and MRes degrees.
Students should be available for promotional activities.

Each academic department at the University of Essex offers individualised student support to all students seeking work placement to enhance their career prospects. However, like many other universities, candidates are required to find their own placements and work opportunities. All students will receive support from the Placement Team and their respective departments, in the form of guidance and support in creating CVs, resumes, applying to the relevant vacancies and tips and tricks to clear interviews.
