University of Bridgeport was established in 1927, as a private university in Connecticut, USA. The university’s foundation was laid by E. Everett Cortright, Alfred Fones, and Summer Simpson. It was the first junior college in Connecticut which got itself renamed as University of Bridgeport only in 1967. The university is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC-CIHE) and is academically affiliated with Space Grant, with sports affiliation with NCAA Division II ECC. The University is also certified by the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Department of Higher Education. According to U.S. News and World Report 2020, the University of Bridgeport ranks #293-#381 among the ‘Best Colleges - National Universities. 

University of Bridgeport’s 56-acre campus has a remarkably impressive stretch of Long Island Sound in Bridgeport, which presents a perfect environment for scholarly pursuits. All of the University’s academic contributions are accessible through the main Bridgeport campus. This includes over 125-degree programs and certificates. The areas of study at this university are Psychology; General Studies; Human Services; Health professions and related clinical sciences; to name a few. University of Bridgeport has declared a schedule for each academic year, and the same is followed in the admission process. Applicants are required to submit their applications before the application deadlines. On a general basis the admission process of the university may be serialized as follows:

Application Process at the University of Bridgeport

  • Research and decide which course should be applied for. 

  • Once the decision has been made, the eligibility criteria specific to the program must be reviewed and related documents must be prepped.

  • In case of any required standardised test scores requirement, the test must be applied for if not taken before. If the test has already been attempted, scores must be sent to the university.
